    • Provide, maintain, and improve our Service
    • Process and manage your account
    • Store and organize your saved content
    • Send you technical notices, updates, and support messages
    • Respond to your comments, questions, and requests
    • Analyze usage patterns to improve user experience
    • Protect against fraudulent or unauthorized activity

    4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and security practices. We use secure cloud infrastructure to host our Service and implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

    7. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on our Service and hold certain information. For more details about how we use cookies, please see our Cookie Policy.

    8. Audio & Video Processing (Silent Input)

When you use one of Reynard's Silent Input features — Silent Voice, Silent Whisper, or Silent Lip Read — Reynard accesses your microphone or webcam only at the moment you trigger the feature. Access stops immediately when the recording ends.

    How your data flows

    1. The recording is captured locally in your browser.
    2. The recording is sent securely to our media transcoding server (hosted on Hetzner, EU) where it is converted into a format compatible with our transcription model.
    3. The converted file is forwarded to Replicate.com, our inference provider, which runs the speech-to-text or lip-reading model and returns the transcribed text.
    4. The transcribed text is sent back to your browser and inserted into the active AI chat.
    5. The original audio or video file is discarded immediately after transcription. Nothing is stored on Reynard's servers, Replicate's servers, or anywhere else.

    Permissions

    • Microphone access (Silent Voice, Silent Whisper) — requested via your browser the first time you use the feature. You can revoke access at any time in your browser settings.
    • Camera access (Silent Lip Read, Pro) — requested via your browser the first time you use the feature. You can revoke access at any time in your browser settings.

    What we do NOT do

    • We do not record continuously.
    • We do not store audio or video files.
    • We do not use your recordings to train AI models.
    • We do not share recordings with advertisers or third parties beyond the inference provider listed above.

    Sub-processors involved in Silent Input

    • Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) — temporary media transcoding.
    • Replicate, Inc. (United States) — speech and lip-reading inference.

Data deletion: because audio and video are never stored, no deletion request is needed for these specific recordings. To delete your account and all stored captures, see the "Data Retention" section below.

    9. Third-Party Services

Our Service integrates with third-party AI platforms. When you save content from these platforms, we store that content in your Reynard account. We do not have access to your accounts on these third-party platforms beyond what our browser extension captures when you explicitly save content.

    10. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our Service. You may delete your account at any time, after which we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

    11. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information.

    12. International Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have different data protection laws. We take appropriate safeguards to ensure your personal data remains protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

    13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
